The Verdugo Mountains are perfect for a sunset hike with stunning city lights on the way down.  The vertical gain is not quite as tough as Tongva peak but it’s definitely a workout!  We will begin the hike around 4pm giving us plenty of time to reach the peak before Sunset.  Once at the peak we are rewarded with view of the ocean, the San Gabriel Mountains, and below to Burbank and LA.

After enjoying our food and an amazing sunset, we will dawn our headlamps and head back down.  Hiking after dark can be a lot of fun with the city lights expanding below us toward the ocean.  You definitely want to use poles and a headlamp for this one.  We have loaner’s for both if you need them.
