Vasquez Rocks Natural Area is a wonderful place to explore the massive upheaval of sedimentary rock by earthquakes.  The park geology is similar to that of the Devils Punchbowl which we will hike later in the season.  The park also contains some of the most well-preserved pictographs in the region and has been featured in many film and television productions
