Parker Mesa is the perfect spot to enjoy a sunset overlooking the ocean and Santa Monica Bay. Even better with a full moon to light the hike back down!

Trippet Ranch in Topanga Canyon State Park has a wonderful network of trails and a ridgeline with sweeping views of the ocean and the LA Basin.  Our second sunset hike in 2026 is an out and back that will take us to Parker Mesa, which has arguably one of the best views in all the Santa Monica Mountains.

We will begin our hike at the Trippet Ranch trailhead at 3:30m taking our time to reach the mesa around 5:00 for dinner and a beautiful sunset.  We will linger here and enjoy the incredible views of the Santa Monica Bay, the LA Basin, the snowcapped San Bernadino Mountains!
