Devils Punchbowl Hike
Devils Punchbowl Hike

Devils Punchbowl is one of the most beautiful and unique places to hike around LA. Its located on the northeastern side of Angeles National Forest where the Mohave Desert meets the San Gabriel’s. The Punchbowl fault runs parallel to the San Andreas fault and created the surreal landscape of the canyon. Massive slabs of sandstone set up on end and then eroded over time.
Due to the punchbowl fire a few years ago, much of the pine forested cover has been replaced with beautiful, flowering fire chaser plants like the Poodle Dog Bush. Which changed the nature of the trail leaving more exposed sections but its also very beautiful!
