Description
Learn the core principles of Yin Yoga – the who, what, where, why, when, how.
From philosophy and subtle body to postures and physiology. Immerse yourself in the cooling side of yoga and search for physical and mental balance.
Learn the building blocks to a personal Yin practice. Create short yin classes for yourself to practice at home, in the office, or on the road. Students will cover yin postures, breathing, and meditation techniques; light basic anatomy and injury management tools; as well as a special module led by Dearbhla Kelly, MA, on Taoist philosophy which is the cornerstone of the Yin practice.
Learn to break down the postures physically and energetically, while linking intelligent and creative sequences. Students will cover yin specific sequencing, and light posture, anatomy, and injury management review.
200-hr Yoga Teacher Training, or basic posture and sequencing knowledge, highly encouraged but not required. For those interested in claiming the full 60 hr YAECP, completion of a teaching practicum is required after the completion of the course. This will be scheduled on an individual basis.
